After tornados ripped through the southern part of Oklahoma City yesterday, the nation was left stunned by images of homes, schools, and businesses completely torn apart. Now the rest of us are left wondering, “What can I do?” Katrina stopped by from the Red Cross to make some suggestions about how we can help.

She says that what the Red Cross really needs right now is money. People mean well when they donate food and items, but the logistics of getting it sorted, transported, stored, and distributed has proven to be monumental in the past. Instead, she suggests making a monetary donation which will then go directly to relief efforts in Oklahoma. She also suggests helping the food bank in that area in the coming months, since it will take months if not years for the area to recover.
