We've all heard the stereotype of the 'crazy cat lady.' Lynea Lattanzio personifies it. The 67 year old California woman currently lives with around 800 cats and 300 kittens. She actually has let the cats take over her 5 bedroom house and she moved into a trailer home on her six acres of property.

Now, this isn't exactly like some crazy episode of 'Hoarders' like you might be thinking. Lattanzio's home is actually California’s largest no-cage, no kill sanctuary for feral and abandoned cats. She has a team of volunteers who work every day to feed, care for, and find forever homes for these abandoned or homeless felines.

Watch the video above from Barcroft TV to learn about how the sanctuary came to be: from the first time she brought home a litter of cats, to where it's grown to today. With all the good she's doing to help these animals, maybe the 'crazy cat lady' image will end up being viewed a little different.
