The northern states have been hit with extremely cold temperatures over the past couple of days, with wind chills dipping to -60. When it’s that cold it doesn’t matter the temperature – it’s just cold. A meteorologist from Viroqua, Wisconsin, decided to demonstrate just how cold it was outside by taking a pot of boiling water, throwing it in the air, and seeing it become snow in a split second.

Being from North Dakota, I’ve done this trick myself. When it’s that cold the water never even hits the ground, it just becomes a white cloud.

Be thankful Texoma isn’t seeing weather like that!
