It has been a rumor for a few weeks, but now it is official. Kevin Costner has been cast as Jonathan Kent in the upcoming Zack Snyder "Superman" reboot. Costner will be playing opposite Diane Lane as the Man of Steel's adoptive parents. Of the casting of Dances With Wolves as Pa Kent, Zack Snyder said,

“Jonathan Kent is the only father figure Clark has ever had, the man who was there to help Clark understand what he was meant to do in the world as Superman. Kevin will be able to communicate the quiet strength of this rural American man who raised the greatest super hero of all time."

My biggest problem with Kevin Costner is his attitude. Back in the 90s, he was given the chance to star in "Tombstone", but demanded many script changes. When he fell out of the project, he decided to make "Wyatt Earp" and did everything he could to kill the production of "Tombstone". He pressured studios to not release the film and tried to rent up all American West costume companies, causing the producers of "Tombstone" to get their wardrobe from Europe. Jennifer Aniston said that working on "Rumor Has It..." was one of the worst professional experiences she's had because of Kevin Costner.  Also, and I know he gets a lot of grief for this, but he played Robin Hood as an American!  He tried to do an English accent, but it was so bad that the director told him to forget about it.
