Whitney Houston‘s body was removed from the Beverly Hilton hotel this afternoon as reports swirled of the various prescription medications that were found in her room. Sources said that a number of different sedatives were in Houston’s room at the time of her death.

Houston died yesterday, Feb. 11. She was found in her hotel room bathtub with her face underwater. She was 48 years old.

A law enforcement official told Radar Online that Houston had “a plethora of sedatives including Lorazepam, Valium, Xanax, and a sleeping medication that was found in her hotel room.” Earlier reports said that Houston had been consuming Xanax, which, combined with the alcohol she was said to consume the night before, created a deadly sedative cocktail that would ultimately lead to the megastar’s demise.

While an autopsy and toxicology reports have yet to be completed and released, the findings lend credence to the suspicion that Houston either fell asleep or unconscious in the bathtub, where she subsequently drowned.

Houston is survived by ex husband, Bobby Brown, who broke into sobs onstage at the news of her passing, and daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, 18, who was hospitalized earlier today for stress. Our thoughts are with Houston’s family and friends during this difficult time.
