Ok, so I've never technically been in the "obese" category but I did let myself go pretty hard core & was heading that way.  It is SO easy to let yourself eat whatever you want & plop down on the couch after a long day at work!  Those two factors are a dangerous combination and is the reason Wichita Falls now as an obesity rate of over 30%!

In Texas, nearly seven out of 10 people could be considered overweight or obese. The report released this month by the Trust for America's Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation lists Texas as the 12th most obese state. About 30 percent of adults are obese, but when that figure is combined with those considered overweight, the total in Texas is about 67 percent.

 

Add in deadly temperatures and a load of fried foods topped with gravy and it's no wonder one out of every three Texoman's have a weight problem.  I for one scurry from my air conditioned car to work, home or any other air conditioned environment as quickly as possible!
