Wichita Falls Police were called  to the Walgreens at  9th & Brook earlier this morning in after personnel there reported an attempted aggravated robbery.  According to Walgreen's personnel a man entered the store, told the pharmacist that he had a gun, and demanded drugs.

Police began a search of the area which eventually led them to the  Harmony Apts at 1710 10th Street.  Patrol Officers found the suspect in the parking lot area of that complex. When the suspect saw the officers, he ran and barricaded himself in a vacant apartment and refused to come out.  WFPD SWAT team and negotiators were called to the scene.

SWAT and negotiators were able to make contact with the suspect inside the vacant apartment. After a lenghty standoff, the suspect voluntarily exited the apartment and turned himself in without incident. Police say a handgun was recovered from the vacant apartment during the standoff.

The suspect was identified as 24 year-old Andrew Reynolds  of Edmond, Oklahoma.  Reynolds had no known ties to the apartment in which he was barricaded.Reynolds is charged with aggravated robbery and is being held in the Wichita County Jail.  No bond had been set as of 3 pm Friday.
