Snowfall has tapered off across Texoma.  Totals range from 3 inches to 6 inches with isolated areas in our western counties and in northeastward toward Lawton seeing even higher totals.

TxDot crews will continue to work on clearing roads, however the slushy snow left behind will refreeze overnight, making your morning commute slow and dangerous.

Anyone who does not need to travel tonight and tomorrow should stay in and avoid the roads altogether if possible.  If you must travel, be sure to take along bottled water, blankets, food such as crackers, cookies or fruit, a flashlight and a cell phone with a charger.

Streets
City crews have plowed all major thoroughfares at least once today. They are now plowing the roadways around schools in case students have classes on Monday. These crews will work until dark when streets begin to refreeze. Sand/Chat trucks will operate tonight, treating intersections and known trouble spots. They will also treat Priority 1 roadways including hospitals, fire stations, Police Department, ambulance headquarters, Central Services and highly traveled roads, hills overpasses and ramps as needed.

Drivers who encounter a snow/ice maintenance vehicle are reminded to please maintain a safe distance from the vehicle.
