A rough patch of wintry weather is expected to hit Texoma tonight and into tomorrow. hazardous driving conditions are imminent. TRN reports that Daryl Williams, forecaster with the National Weather Service in Norman, Okla., said:

Snow, strong winds and low temperatures are expected late this evening. Freezing rain is expected tonight, which will turn into snow throughout the night, he said.

There is a possibility of 2 to 4 inches of snow accumulation beginning tonight and lasting through Tuesday afternoon. There is a 70 percent chance of precipitation Tuesday.

Driving conditions are expected to be "more than a little" hazardous for drivers Tuesday morning, Williams said.

"Tuesday looks like a day to stay home if you can," he said.

Make preparations now, and stay off the roads later if you can. No reason to unnecessarily put yourself at risk driving around on a sheet of ice and snow.

That said...I'm off to the store to get my 'End of Days Survival Kit!" (Dr. Pepper, microwave burritos, and package of Oreo's!)
