Woman Gives Birth in Restroom at Wichita Falls Gas Station

Police were called to the Murphy Express Gas Station on Archer City Highway outside the Wal-Mart on Greenbriar just after 9 pm Thursday night.  When they arrived, they found a 23-year-old woman on the floor of the restroom who had just delivered a baby.

The woman told first responders she did not know she was  pregnant. The child was breathing when EMT's arrived on scene and was transported to United Regional before being flown to Cook's Fort Worth Children's Hospital.

The child was pronounced dead at around 4 am at Cook's.  Authorities did not identify the woman.
