3Oh!3 Bring Back “Boyfriend-Vegetarian” Line on Comeback Song

Crunkcore legends 3Oh!3 have brought back the classic "boyfriend-vegetarian" line on their comeback single.

"Lonely Machines," which features polarizing electro-core duo 100 gecs, dropped on Nov. 13, and is their first new music since the 2016 album Night Sports.

It's fair to say 3Oh!3 remain as ludicrous as ever.

The "Lonely Machines" lyric, "You tell your boyfriend that he's still got beef / That over time it's gonna give him heart disease," is a reference to the classic "Don't Trust Me" line, "T-tell your boyfriend if he says he's got beef / That I'm a vegetarian and I ain't fucking scared of him."

3Oh!3 hit scene stardom thanks to their 2008 LP Want. The album featured "Don't Trust Me" as well as "Starstrukk," a collaboration with Katy Perry. The duo followed that up with 2010 album Streets of Gold, which also had a pop star feature, this time by way of Ke$ha.

The band - comprising Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte - last played live at the beginning of 2020 alongside Breathe Carolina and Lil Jon, before the outbreak of COVID-19.
