Ariana Grande just dropped the music video for her song "In My Head," off her album Thank U, Next.

The pop star, who covers next month's issue of Vogue magazine, surprised fans by premiering the clip alongside her interview on Monday (July 9). Directed by Bardia Zeinali, the trippy video sees Grande dressed in a puffy black jacket and over-the-knee boots, complete with her infamous ponytail as she struts her stuff around the all-white room.

As per the YouTube video description, the singer "takes this confessional tendency literally, as she dances, shoulder pops, poses, and struts around inside the white room of her own mind."

The track, which is believed to be about her ex-fiancé Pete Davidson, is about how she fell in love with a version of someone she created in her head, only to find out he wasn't that person in real life.

Then, during an interview with on the Zach Sang Show, she elaborated on the meaning behind the song.

"I do a thing with people, that the song kind of explains," she said. "I do this thing where sometimes I paint a different picture of someone that I either already know is not what I’m believing they are and I’m hoping that they are that, or I’m slowly learning that they’re not what I had thought.”
