48 years after Peter Sellers became the first man to do it, Bruno Mars will now be joining the ranks of men like Gene Simmon, Burt Reynolds, and Steve Martin as only the 10th man to appear on the cover of "Playboy" magazine.  The Grammy winner will appear on the April 2012 issue, called the 'Sex and Music Issue', also taking part in a fashion photo shoot and interview,

“Growing up in the showbiz world, I looked up to those guys: Frank Sinatra and of course Elvis Presley.  My dad was into the 1950s doo-wop era. If you look at those groups, or at James Brown, Jackie Wilson and the Temptations in the 1960s, you’ll see you had to be sharp onstage.”

Looking at Bruno Mars' style and stage presence, the impact that Sinatra and Presley had is obvious.  However, when asked what past musical icon he'd want to share the stage with, Mars didn't pick either one.  Instead, Mars said he's love to perform with a left-handed guitar genius, Jimi Hendricks,

“I think he’s the greatest guitar player in the world, and I would want to see him do his thing in person.  He’s the reason I picked up a guitar in the first place.”

The April 2012 issue of Playboy featuring Bruno Mars is expected to hit newsstands within the next week.
