Dallas Cowboys Legend Dat Nguyen Coming to Wichita Falls for Benefit
One of my favorite players from the 2000's Cowboys teams is coming to Wichita Falls next month.
Let's be honest with each other Cowboys fans. After the dynasty in the 90's, the Dallas Cowboys did not have the best of seasons going into the new decade. Things turned around in 2003 for me, when the Cowboys hired Bill Parcells and in that first year Dallas had one of the best defenses in the NFL.
A key factor into those Cowboys defenses was linebacker Dat Nguyen, in my opinion, a very underrated player in the NFL. Ray Lewis and Brian Urlacher were getting the headlines for the NFL during this time. In my opinion, Dat was three. I loved this guy and I can't believe he will be in Wichita Falls on August 21.
He will be speaking at the 15th Annual Midwestern State Athletics welcome back dinner. The event begins with an enhanced silent auction and social beginning at 5:30 p.m. with Dallas Cowboy and Midwestern State memorabilia as well as other valuable items. The dinner will be at six and Dat is expected to speak around 6:45 that night.
Reserve your seat by submitting $120 for a student-athlete sponsorship. A limited number of complete tables accommodating six people with sponsor acknowledgement can be purchased for $600. Additional seats are available for $120 each. If you're interested in tickets, you can call (940) 397-4779.
Midwestern State has had many former Cowboys come speak at this event every year. Tony Dorsett, Ed "Too Tall" Jones,Charles Haley, and Randy White to name a few.
