Volunteer firefighters from several departments battle an out of control blaze late yesterday and through the night.  The fire began in Jack County and quickly spread into Clay and Archer County.  Officials say downed power lines were to blame for setting off the blaze near Berry Road in Jack County.

The fire began around 2:30 pm Monday and by 10:30 Monday night more than 140 firefighters were on the scene.  The blaze was mostly out and under control by early Tuesday but firefighters will continue to monitor hot spots.  So far, two homes and at least two mobile homes have been consumed by the blaze.  No serious injuries or fatalities have been reported.
