This brand new ride is set to open this Saturday to the public, but we were invited to test it out early.

Six Flags Over Texas seems to add a new exciting ride each and every year. The latest is not for the tame. The Joker Free Fly Coaster is a first of its kind at Six Flags Over Texas. The cart you're in moves on its own, you don't know how many times that thing is going to spin around. Here's how Six Flags describes the new roller coaster:

After being lifted straight up a 12-story, 90-degree hill, THE JOKER will wreak havoc as riders flip head-over-heels at least six times along the weightless journey. Thrill seekers will experience exhilarating leaps and dives along a horizontal plane, along with unexpected drops as they tumble from one level to the next. The wing seats amp up the pandemonium since riders will experience all of this chaos with no track above or below ─ just the sky, ground and plenty of sinister thrills.

Aaron Galloway and I had the pleasure of riding it backward, as you can see in the video. So I had no idea when the track was gonna flip us around. I have never ridden anything that comes close to The Joker. If you're a coaster junkie, it's a must ride on your next trip to Arlington.

Also Six Flags Over Texas, that guy you had playing the Joker at the ribbon cutting ceremony. Give him a raise, you're not paying him enough.
