Interactive Map Is Full Of Crap
California is such a ‘special’ place.
Sometimes the marvelous technologies we have at our disposal leave us with what amounts to TMI-Too Much Information. Such TMI is all over this tale from the city immortalized by Tony Bennett. According to engadget.com, Jennifer Wong, a web developer, has created an interactive map of San Francisco to show you where people are, well, taking a crap.
Incidents of public defecation are reported to SF311, a San Francisco municipal government site and then plotted on the city map at HumanWasteland.com. While it may be somewhat humorous and even downright gross, it does shed some light on a desperate lack of services for the homeless. After all, if you were homeless and had nowhere to ‘go’, my guess is you, too, would find a nice street corner or alley way to do the two.
