Watch Texas Kid Skillfully Nab Fish Barehanded
Meet the Texas kid who's taking the internet by storm with his barehanded fish-catching skills. Yes, you read that right – barehanded!
In a world where fishing usually involves rods, reels, and plenty of patience, this young prodigy from the Lone Star State has thrown the rulebook out the window and is changing the game entirely.
Who needs fancy equipment when you've got lightning-fast reflexes and nerves of steel? This kid proves that sometimes, all you need are your hands and a dash of Texas swagger.
Not Quite Noodling
The video at the bottom of this article opens at a quant little pond where a dad is attempting to catch a fish via noodling, somewhat. Wikipedia defines noodling as:
Noodling is fishing for catfish using one's bare hands or feet, and is practiced primarily in the southern United States. The noodler places their hand or foot inside a discovered catfish hole in order to catch the fish.
Step Aside Old Man
Dad lets his son take over because apparently, he has the gift. He begins tickling the top of the water, telling his dad that the problem is his fat fingers. After a couple of seconds of tapping the top of the water...
*WACK*
He rips his hand up out of the water to reveal he's holding a fish by the mouth. It's so impressive! That fish is almost as big as him! His family all jump around excited after that cool stunt.
Winner Winner Fish for Dinner
This kid is awesome. He just needs to learn how to make sushi now. Imagine when he grows up and goes on a first date. He's gonna walk by that pond and ask his lady friend if she wants fresh sushi for dinner. Oh, you do? He snatches a fish out of the pond, chops it up, throws some rice on it, and wraps it up in some seaweed. "There ya go," he says as fireworks inexplicably start popping off over the trees behind him. Check out the video for yourself below.
