Texas A&M Singing Cadets to Perform in Wichita Falls This Week
A live concert will be taking place in Wichita Falls on Thursday if you want to go check it out.
In doing some research on this upcoming concert in Wichita Falls. I assumed the 'Singing Cadets' were a part of the Texas A&M Corp of Cadets that you see on the sidelines of Texas A&M football games pictured below.
Turns out, you do not have to be a member of the Corp of Cadets, to be a Signing Cadet. They changed this rule in 1963. I learned that Texas A&M has five different choir organizations at their school. The Singing Cadets (TTBB), The Reveliers (SSAA), The Century Singers (SATB), Bella Voce (SSAA), and Legacy Voices (SATB). It appears the most prestigious of the five is the Singing Cadets which has been around since 1893. They're considered one of the oldest collegiate singing organizations in the world.
