These Wichita Falls Schools Are Part of Texas School Voucher Program
Applications can start getting submitted for Texas' school voucher program in a few weeks and we have a few right here in Wichita Falls.
Starting on February 4th, Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) will start allowing applications to be submitted for their new program. This allows families to receive state funds to pay for eligible educational costs. The Texas Legislature approved 1 billion dollars for this program and it will be the largest first-year school choice program in US history.
Which Wichita Falls Schools Are a Part of the Program?
According to TEFA, around 1,000 schools are apart of this new application process. Here in Wichita Falls, we have three that families can potentially sign up for starting in February.
- Learning Essentials Daycare
- Children Come 1st
- Wichita Christian School
You can check out the full list of all the Texas schools that are eligible for the program on the TEFA website.
How Do You Submit an Application?
Applications are not open yet, but you can get everything you need to know here. Applications will be allowed until March 17, 2026. Parents will be notified in April if they qualified for the new program.
