Ever heard of Triskaidekaphobia? It is the fear or avoidance of the number 13. This has actually been around since the middle ages. Since at least 1774, a superstition of "thirteen at a table" has been documented: if 13 people sit at a table, then one of them must die within a year. Also you have probably heard the 13th floor of a hotel is haunted. According to a 2007 poll, 13% of people would not feel comfortable on the 13th floor. Oh the irony that is 13%.

Also it looks like tarot cards are a big reason for the number 13 being bad luck. In most decks, the 13th card is the death card. Stay safe out there today!
