Jonathan Tyler is coming to Wichita Falls Saturday (6/18) night for a show with Paul Cauthen at the Iron Horse Pub. Friday afternoon he called in to talk with Drew about the show.

If you've never seen Jonathan Tyler live before, you have been missing out. The band plays a very diverse blend of music ranging from blues to country to rock to jazz and everything in between. Jonathan explained that the reason for the wide array of sound came from growing up in Texas and from listening to many different styles of music.

His latest single, 'Honey Pie,' is an example of this diverse musical influence. There's definitely a country feel, but with influences coming through from all sorts of different genres. Jonathan explained to Drew that it's a break up song and one of the last songs written for the latest album. It's been a fan favorite and so they decided to release it to radio.

The show in Wichita Falls will be followed by some much needed time off for the band. Throughout the rest of June and July they will just be doing some weekend shows and not extensive touring. Jonathan says that some days of rest will be nice, but isn't holding anything back at the Iron Horse Saturday night.

He says the band feeds off the energy of the crowd, so they're hoping for a great turnout and a fun night Saturday. Get your tickets now at the Iron Horse Pub, listen to the full interview at the Soundcloud link above, and find out more about Jonathan at JonathanTylerMusic.com.
