The Chainsmokers were in the middle of rocking the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Sunday (Oct. 20) when Kelsea Ballerini showed up. Ballerini was easy to spot in a shiny silver jacket, stepping onstage to sing with the electronic duo on their pop crossover song "This Feeling."

Fans were quick to share video of the collaboration on social media:

Ballerini appeared on the studio version of "This Feeling," which became a hit all over the world after its release in 2018. She joined the Chainsmokers onstage earlier this year when they performed the hit at Nissan Stadium in the pouring rain during CMA Fest. The country star loves to cross genres, having toured in the past with everyone from Kelly Clarkson to Keith Urban, along with ascending to arena headliner status on her own Miss Me More Tour.

Just days before surprising fans at the Chainsmokers concert, Ballerini also surprised an intimate crowd gathered at the Listening Room in Nashville when she turned up to perform a few selections with some of her fellow songwriters.

Ballerini also rocked the stage as part of a special, open-to-the-public taping of CMT Crossroads alongside Halsey at the Ascend Amphitheater in downtown Nashville on Oct. 11. The episode will premiere on CMT in early 2020.

Ballerini is currently basking in the success of her new single “Homecoming Queen?,” which gave her the highest debut of her career on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart in September. The song debuted at No. 22 on the chart. Ballerini is set to release her third full-length album, which she says is her most personal work to date.
