After what seemed like an eternity of waiting, the big day finally came! Saturday was the Krispy Kreme Doughnut Pop-Up Party in Downtown Wichita Falls. Thousands of people came out for what turned out to be a great Saturday morning!

It all started at 8:45 when Wichita Falls Mayor Glenn Barham read a proclamation marking the day an official celebration in the city. It was after that that the very first doughnut came off the line and our contest winner, Jenni Martin, got to enjoy it. Then it was 4 hours of free doughnuts for everyone and the line stretched around the block!

While most of us were enjoying the food, the crew from Krispy Kreme got to enjoy a nice tour of the town and got to see the place where the first video that brought them here was filmed. We brought Krispy Kreme CEO Tony Thompson to the World's Littlest Skyscraper and even got him to film a video trying to catch some doughnuts thrown from it!

Hopefully you made it out to the event and got to enjoy your delicious free doughnut. Based on all the smiles we saw that day, we definitely ended the sadness for at least 1 Saturday!

Check out the video above and the photos below to relive the event more.

Thanks again to Krispy Kreme for celebrating their birthday with us and to Ann and Walter and the whole Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce for all their hard work with us to make this event a reality!
