Machine Gun Kelly made his first film after the release of his 2020 chart-topping pop-punk album Tickets to My Downfall, and now he's back with a second one titled Good Mourning, which will officially come out in 2022.

The premise of the movie is about a movie star named London Ransom, played by Kelly, who faces an imminent breakup the same day that he has an important meeting that may make or break his career. Ultimately, the character has to make a decision between love and advancement.

MGK once again collaborated with Mod Sun on the film project, which was written and directed by the duo. Labeled a "stoner comedy," the movie will star Kelly and Mod Sun along with Becky G, Dove Cameron, comedian Whitney Cummings, rapper GaTa, Zach Villa, Jenna Boyd and skateboarder Boo Johnson, and will also feature appearances from Megan Fox and Pete Davidson.

Good Mourning was produced by Cedar Park Studios and will be released via Open Road Films. It'll be available for viewing in theaters and on select pay-per-view platforms on May 20.

“We are looking forward to bringing this wild comedy to audiences in theaters and at home on demand. The film is a reminder of how fun movies can be to make and watch,” Open Road Films CEO Tom Ortenberg said in a press release. "Colson [Baker, aka MGK] and this incredible cast will bring audiences to their knees in laughter and leave their jaws on the floor.”

Kelly has previously starred in a couple of films, most notably the 2021 western drama The Last Son and as Tommy Lee in the 2019 Motley Crue biopic The Dirt. He was also part of the cast of the 2016 Showtime series Roadies.
