Michael Rapaport Slammed for Bashing Ariana Grande’s Appearance
Michael Rapaport came under attack from Arianators after he bashed Ariana Grande's appearance on Twitter.
The '90s star suggested that without makeup and sexy clothes, Grande, 25, wouldn't be much to look at. He shared an old photo of the "Imagine" singer making a peace sign with her fingers, pouting her lips at the camera along with his message.
"Ariana Grande is 27 acts 12, you take off those boots she hides her legs in, the cay eye make up and the genie pony tale and I think there's [SIC] hotter women working the counter at Starbucks no disrespect to Starbucks," the 48-year-old said.
Before long, Grande's fans took over Rapaport's mentions, slamming him for criticizing the young star's looks. Several commenters called the actor out, noting the underlying misogyny in his post.
"Another old man telling a young woman her worth on resides in her looks and tells her it's not enough," one Twitter user said. "Dude, your career went down the drain long ago, YOU ARENT RELEVANT ANYMORE. Also, this tweet is actually acting 12."
"you're judging the f---ability of a teenager with this picture my man. u ok with that yeh," another user noted.
"For starters, she's 25 so good job w the fact checking. Second, it's almost 2019 and you're tearing down women based on their appearance like it's 1995, which is the last time you were even relevant. You're just looking for relevance, but this ain't the way to get it. Ty, next," a third tweeted.
Rapaport took none of the criticism to heart, instead hitting back at those who dare to challenge him. He repeatedly called Twitter users who took offense to his tweet "SnowFlakes," urging them to "EAT Dwycks."
"When I talk viciously about The Leader of the Free World aka D--- Stain Donald Trump or Tiki Torch Tough Guys in Virginia, I'm a Social Media HERO, but a joke about Ariana Grande is SHAMING?," he tweeted.
Rapaport later added, "I can say ANYTHING about Cockeyed Kellyanne, Laura Ingram, Melania, Ivanka or Candance Owens & you little Hipster Fake P---- Power Hat Wearing MoFo's get hype. Elation. Talk s--- Arianna [SIC] Grande & I hate Women?"
Grande hasn't responded to Rapaport.
