Easy Falafel Recipe
Makes about 6 portions 4 pieces each
- 2 cups dried chickpeas, soaked in water overnight
- 2 cloves garlic
- ¼ cup chopped scallions
- ⅓ cup picked parsley
- ⅓ packed cup cilantro
- ⅛ packed cup picked mint
- ⅛ packed cup picked dill
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 2 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Kibbeh Spice (available from Laboite.com)
- 1 tablespoon jalapeño seeded
- 2.5 teaspoons white sesame seed
- In the bowl of a food processor fitted with a metal blade place all ingredients.
- Process until finely ground.
- Add 1/6 teaspoon baking powder.
- Shape into 1oz disks.
- Fry at 375 until golden brown
