Pete Davidson returned to Saturday Night Live on Saturday.

During a Weekend Update segment alongside John Mulaney, the XX-year-old joked about his public suicide threat in December. Davidson, tasked with discussing The Mule, opened with a joke about his "crazy month."

"As you know, I've had a really crazy month but I want to talk about something that matters to me – the new Clint Eastwood movie, The Mule!" he said, before Mulaney, 36, appeared at the desk next to him.

"I've been spending some time with Pete to try to show him that you can have a life in comedy that is not insane. A sober, domestic life," the comic joked.

Davidson retorted, "Yeah, and after observing John's life, I publicly threatened suicide. I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't make that joke, but it is funny."

Mulaney then assured Davidson he's "loved by many," prompting the New York native to roll his eyes.

"And we are glad you're ok," Mulaney added. "Now back to The Mule."

Fans have been worried about Davidson since Dec. 15, when he posted a frightening message on Instagram. In it, he claimed he didn't "want to be on this earth anymore."

"I'm doing my best to stay here for you but i actually don't know how much longer i can last," he wrote. "All i've ever tried to do was help people. Just remember i told you so."

Davidson has since deleted his Instagram account all together. It's unclear if he plans to return. He's said to be in a better place.
