Petition Started to Make Baby Yoda an Official Apple Emoji

This might just be the most important petition of the year!

In a petition that was started on Change.org five days ago, Travis Bramble is calling for Apple to officially make "The Child", otherwise known as "Baby Yoda" from Disney Plus' 'The Madalorian', an official Apple Emoji,

Well...this is pretty self explanatory. I think Baby Yoda should be an emoji. He stole our hearts and now I want him to steal our keyboard space. Your friend shares a pic of her new born baby? Respond with a cute little Baby Yoda emoji to show that you think her little rascal is cute beyond words. You’re sick and your mom texts you “do you want some soup?” Respond back with a cute little Baby Yoda to show her that your thirst for soup is insatiable. Join me into this movement and let your voices be heard. WE WANT BABY YODA EMOJI!!!

Initially with a goal of 2,500 signatures, the petition has surpassed 5,000 on its way to a new goal of 7,500. In fact, the total signatures jumped by nearly 200 in the 15 minutes since I first brought up the petition.

Come on people! Let's support this worthy cause! The worst day in the world can be made better by a text message from a loved one of a smiling baby Yoda.
