It is so nice to see the Hollywood Foreign Press sticking to their guns.  The attitude after this year's Golden Globes was that Gervais crossed the line with his Roast-style jokes, he would never host again, and that any film he's in has no chance of being nominated for a Golden Globe.  Wait... the ratings were up this year?  WE LOVE RICKY!

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Ricky Gervais has announced on his website that he has been asked to host the Golden Globes for the third year in a row.  Though the president of the HFPA publically stated that Gervais crossed the line with this humor, but a rep from the association told The Hollywood Reporter,

"We loved the show… it was among the best we've ever had and we were pleased."

However, Gervais isn't certain he will take the job.  He posted on his website,

"I don't think I should.  I don't know what I could do better. I certainly couldn't get more press for them, that's for sure."
