Watch Selena Gomez Give the Cold Shoulder To Reporters Asking About Justin Bieber Engagement
Selena Gomez might have something to say about ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber’s engagement to Hailey Baldwin behind closed doors, but in public, mum is very much the word for the pop star.
In a new video posted by TMZ, reporters catch Gomez and a pal on New York City streets Monday (July 9) afternoon. Paps quickly ask if Gomez has anything to say about Bieber’s breakneck-speed engagement, but she can’t be bothered. Without saying a word, she and her pal quickly make their ways into a van and shut the door.

The moment comes after a story published in Us Weekly Monday (July 9) in which a source said that Gomez could not be more unmoved by the news of her ex’s engagement.
“Selena doesn’t care. She’s over Justin and the last time they broke up allowed her to get over him fully,” the source said.
The source also accused Bieber of making his proposal to Baldwin so public to get a rise out of Gomez.
“Anytime he has done this in the past, Selena doesn’t even see stories about him in the media,” the source noted. “Her team makes sure she is protected from it, so it’s a waste of time on Justin’s end if that’s his goal. No one in her circle speaks about him when they are on the outs and she keeps her circle and team very small.”
Bieber and Baldwin, who dated from 2015 to 2016, only got back together about a month ago. This was after Bieber and Gomez rekindled their romance late last year, five years after splitting. They broke up again months after their reunion, though, after Gomez’s mother reportedly put pressure on the pop star to end things.
