The fact that the first line of the ad reads "From the MASTERMINDS behind 'The Jersey Shore'" makes me hope this show blows up on the first episode.  MTV's new show "Fandom Rising" is looking to be "The Real World" with geeks.  According to the casting poster, MTV is looking for, "8 strangers for a mission to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new lifestyles

Jay-Z was particularly attentive to his wife Beyonce at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, where she revealed she’s pregnant with the couple’s first child.

Ladies ruled at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards: Beyonce’s pregnancy announcement was the big news of the night, Lady Gaga opened the show in style (and in drag) and Katy Perry took home top honors, winning Video of the Year for ‘Firework.’

Beyonce Knowles announced that she’s expecting her first child with husband Jay-Z on the black carpet of the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night. Arriving in a flowy, Grecian-inspired orange frock, Knowles pulled back the material and showed off her sizable bump to the delight of the crowd.

The stars turned out on the red carpet — or should we say black carpet? — for the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. Celebs included Justin Bieber, who rocked a pair of scholarly specs, and Jessie J, who rocked a pair of bedazzled crutches and a cast (the singer sprained her foot at a recent live show).

The MTV Video Music Awards, which air live on Sunday, will be missing an important part of the traditional award show experience: a host.

Most reality show participants have to sign extensive waivers and agree to terms not seen since the days of indentured servitude. Recently, the Village Voice got its hands on the 30-page contract required of the people appearing on MTV‘s long-running ‘Real World’ series and, as expected, it’s positively draconian. The extreme stipulations are probably no different than those of other reality shows

If this isn't considered "Way Back", I don't know what is.  I've you've been out of touch with pop culture for a while, we've heard for months now that MTV was finally doing something right for a change and bringing back "Beavis and Butthead"...

I think most of us can agree that that Sunday's MTV Movie Awards was a sham.  "Twilight Saga: Eclipse" taking home almost all major awards... horrible.  But, the night wasn't a complete waste.  Here's the best thing that came from the award show, a new clip from "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2"...
