With Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Zack Snyder all potentially leaving the DC franchise they created, it’s time for Warner Bros. to do something new.

The 2018 Oscar nominees are in, and we’re a bit beside ourselves over these major snubs.

Rotten Tomatoes has releases the list of the 100 best-reviewed films of the year, including ‘Get Out,’ ‘Dunkirk,’ and ‘Wonder Woman.’

With a record-breaking worldwide box office gross of over $821 million and an official Oscar campaign, the latest update on Wonder Woman’s global dominance probably won‘t surprise you: Gal Gadot’s solo adventure is now the best-reviewed superhero film of all time, according to the results of a new analysis from Rotten Tomatoes. And looking at the remaining top 10, she’s in good — if occasionally surprising — company.

The theme park chain is adding new coasters and thrill rides inspired by popular DC Comics characters.

'All of the self-congratulatory back-patting Hollywood’s been doing over Wonder Woman has been so misguided,' he said.

If you only look at the surface numbers, this was a pretty predictable week at the box office. Wonder Woman did well, The Mummy did not, and everything else shook out accordingly. That being said, there’s some pretty interesting narratives emerging in the how and why of this weekend’s box office report. It was the Facebook post that launched a thousand (give or take) s— fits. When the Alamo Drafthouse announced a special women-only screening of Wonder Woman, the outrage from misogynist bros was swift, immediate and entirely insane, with many bizarrely labeling the event “sexist.” But those toxic reactions didn’t quite have the intended effect and only made the screening more popular among women, spurring the Drafthouse to turn it into a national event, much to the chagrin of all those whiny sexist internet trolls — including one particularly angry man who decided it might be more effective to bypass theater management entirely and take his complaints straight to the mayor of Austin, Texas.

The heroes of Titans and Young Justice aren’t the only DC hitters getting an overhaul from Warner Bros.; the DC Super Hero Girls are headed to high school as well. Cartoon Network has commissioned a new 2018 series returning Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Batgirl from a series of online shorts.

So far the reviews of the DC Extended Universe movies have been ... uh, what’s the opposite of good? Bad. They’ve been bad. The first three movies — Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Suicide Squad — have an average Rotten Tomatoes score of 36. That is bad. The opposite of good. For sure.
