Taylor Swift hit the red carpet prior to the 2019 American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night (Nov. 24), and she looked sophisticated and completely in command.

Swift strutted the red carpet at the Microsoft Theater clad in a shimmering green halter dress that stopped at her thighs, pairing it with long skirting in the front and back and thigh-high black boots.

The pop superstar went into the evening with a number of nominations for her work on her most recent album, Lover, including Favorite Album Pop/Rock, Artist of the Year, Favorite Female Artist Pop/Rock and more.

She was also set to perform a career-spanning medley of her hits on the broadcast, after much public speculation, back-and-forth and recrimination with her former label, BMLG. Swift claimed earlier in November that they had denied her the ability to perform her own songs on the broadcast, which they categorically denied.

Shania Twain and Thomas Rhett were also among the stars who hit the red carpet before the ceremony, and both of them are slated to perform as well.

Swift is also set to receive the AMA Artist of the Decade award during the ceremony.
