Is Taylor Swift’s ‘You Need to Calm Down’ Hair Color a Nod to Bisexuality?
Taylor Swift's "You Need to Calm Down" video is chock full of Easter eggs, all the way down to the color of her hair. Though she rocks her natural blonde locks for most of the video, there is a scene where the pop star's sippin' tea with the Queer Eye cast and wearing a colorful wig dyed pink, purple, and blue, which also just so happens to be the colors of the bisexual flag.
Was this the "ME!" singer's strategic way of coming out as bisexual, or was she merely championing it as part of her overall LGBTQ+ rights message? Regardless, we're so here for it, and so are Swifties.
"I recognize that it is problematic to speculate on someone's sexuality.... but Taylor Swift painting her hair the colors of the bisexual flag.... it has to mean SOMETHING!!!!" one fan wrote on Twitter.
"Hot take: Taylor Swift is queer, she has bisexual hair colours in her new video, lots of other gaylor evidence, leave her alone," wrote another.
