The First Clip From jOBS, Staring Ashton Kutcher
The first clip from Ashton Kutcher's new film jOBS has just been released and while it's not a whole lot, it still looks like this may be a pretty good movie. The film is based on Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, who died in 2011, and all of the major events that took place in his life since 1971.
In the scene you see Kutcher/Jobs talking to Steve Wozniak (Josh Gad), trying to convince him that the operating system he has developed will turn into what it is today. Wozniak tells him "no one wants to buy a computer," to which Jobs replies "How does somebody know what they want if they've never even seen it?" A line that will no doubt go down in history.
Wozniak, the real Steve Wozniak, told Gizmodo that the scene never really happened and that their views on how well the operating system would do were completely opposite, Wozniak believed in it right of the bat, were as Jobs was slower to take to the idea.
The movie is set to be released on April 19 so that in coincides with the 37th anniversary of the creation of Apple. The film is written by Matthew Whitely and directed by Joshua Michael Stern and brings together Kutcher and Gad along with Dermot Mulroney, Lukas Haas, and J.K. Simmons.
