It's amazing what the span of four months can do as this picture taken outside Silverton, Texas shows.

Back in March, my wife and I saw this steel alligator on the side of a small hill in the dust with a sign that said "Let It Rain." It was a sad sight when we first saw it, but it didn't take long for the scene to change.

Now, in the middle of June, it looks more like a jungle. And that gator looks like he is crawling out the water. (See the picture below.)

It's almost surreal seeing all the water throughout the South Plains. The drought is definitely over...for now.
