TX Neighbor Takes Action When Man Shoots His Mother with Rifle

Coming out of Harris County this morning is another terrifying police report that ended with the death of a young man in his 20s.

According to Fox News during a 4th of July celebration on Tuesday morning around 12:25 at Sedona Pointe Apartments in Houston, a tenant at the party was approached by her 22-year-old son who was acting "erratic." She left the party and went into her apartment with her son. Moments later, shots from suspected AK-47 were heard inside.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Department, over 20 rounds were fired by the young man with multiple bullets hitting his mother as well as through the apartment and into nearby apartments as well.

One teenager was inside her apartment when one of the bullets from the AK-47 nearly struck her. Her parents say she was thankfully unharmed but very shook up.

In those moments as shots were fired, one neighbor at the complex took matters into his own hands and as reported by FOX, "The mother emerged from the house shortly thereafter. She was bleeding from the face." In the report, the mother ran outside while her son continued to shoot her on her lower extremities."

Are Texans just fed up?

This is when a neighbor arrived with his own firearms and shot and killed the son. He was pronounced dead on the scene when authorities arrived. His mother was rushed to the hospital and is expected to recover physically. Emotionally it will likely be a difficult road ahead.
