Wichita Falls High School Teacher Arrested for Improper Sexual Relationship With a Student

A WFISD teacher at Wichita Falls High School was arrested Wednesday (6/18) and accused of having sex with a student.

On June 5, 2015 Wichita Falls police detectives were notified about a sexual relationship between 29-year-old Amber Witte and a student.

According to police, another teacher overheard students talking about a relationship between a student and a teacher. After the principal interviewed students to find out who was involved in the relationship, the victim was identified and admitted that he had sexual intercourse with Witte at her house back in April.

Witte admitted to having oral sex with the student, but denies having sexual intercourse with him.

According to the arrest affidavit, Witte and the student had texted each other late last year about school-related activities, but the texts took a sexual turn, and that's when the student and Witte planned to meet at her house after school one day.

When the student and Witte met at her house, the student said they started kissing and fondling each other which eventually progressed to having sexual intercourse with each other.

According to the student, they only had the one sexual encounter.

Witte turned herself in to the Wichita Falls Police and was charged with improper relationship between educator and student. Her bond was set at $5,000. As of Thursday afternoon, Witte is free from the Wichita County Jail.
