The L.A. County Department of the coroner has released the official cause of death for Whitney Houston.

According to the report released earlier today, the musical icon's death has been ruled an accidental drowning combined with "effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use."  The coroner's report also indicates that Houston had ingested cocaine prior to her death, and marijuana and prescription pills were also found in her system.  In the press release, the coroner ruled there is no evidence of foul play in the singer's death.

The final report is expected within two weeks.

Houston was found dead in the bathtub of her Beverly Hill hotel room on the eve of the Grammy's, February 11th, being laid to rest just over a week later.
