If you've never been to beautiful Red River, NM, now is your chance!  Their ski season is just weeks away and you have a chance to win a trip to their new Winter Carnival in January.  All you have to do is submit ad 60-second video explaining why you would be a good ambassador to Red River and why you deserve this amazing ski getaway.  All videos will be posted at Red River's website, and you will be able to follow the contest on Twitter and Facebook

Support and excitement for this contest got all the way to the top, Red River's Mayor, Linda Calhoun,

"We hear so many stories about why people love coming back to Red River year after year," says Red River Mayor Linda Calhoun. "This gives our visitors the opportunity to share their stories with friends and family for the opportunity to win a winter vacation." Calhoun adds, "The great thing about this contest is that it’s not exclusive to past visitors. Just tell us why you want to come to Red River and you’ll be given the same chance to experience what makes this town so wonderful."

Once your video entry is posted, it is up to you to make sure you and your friends get the word out to everyone you know to help you win.  You can link it to your Facebook page and your Twitter feed and your friends can do the same.  Everyone will have the chance to vote once a day for as many videos as they like.

Entries will be accepted until November 20th, with public voting taking place November 21st to December 16th.  Public voting will narrow the field down to TEN finalists, with a Red River panel of judges cutting those down to THREE winners.  Those winners will each receive three nights lodging for two during the Winter Carnival Janurary 13-16, all meals, lift tickets, lessons, rentals, activities, VIP access to Winter Carnival events, and $200 for travel expenses (package valued at over $1000).

Not sure what kind of video to make?  A sample video and complete set of rules is available at the Red River website and their Facebook page.  Let's make sure they get a winner from Texoma!
