The last season of "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" ended on a cliffhanger with the KISS Demon dropping to one knee and finally proposing to his girlfriend of 28 years and the mother of his two children, Shannon Tweed.  After chronicling problems that almost ended their relationship, the season ended with the two on a romantic vacation in Belize where Simmons surprised Tweed with a beach side dinner and a marriage proposal.

SPOILER ALERT!  She said yes.

Well, not really a spoiler as this was a well publicized lead up to their October 1st wedding.  Their children Nick and Sophie played a very active role in the wedding, acting as Best Man and Maid of Honor respectively, and creating the invitations that included a hand drawn family photo,

"We will be united as a Family in title and spirit forever.  There will no longer be a Team Tweed or a Team Simmons but instead a Team Tweed Simmons, and as annoyingly long as that is, We hope you're on it."

After exchanging vows, Gene and Shannon danced their first dance to "At Last" by Etta James sung by Sophie.  Nick also took to the stage to serenade his parents, as well as Gene's KISS band mates who sang several of their hits for the on-hand crowd that included Playboy founder, and ex-boyfriend of Tweed, Hugh Hefner.

The next season of Family Jewels premieres on October 4th, and will follow the family in their lead up to the wedding, with the wedding being featured in an A&E special on October 18th.
