The Governator Is (Coming) Back!!
After having just seen 'Conan the Barbian' (at Chaos & The Mom's suggestion), I'm SO excited to see more of Arnold, kickin' A and takin' names!! Former Governor Schwarzenegger is reportedly eyeing a major return to the big screen.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Governator is in talks to join 'The Last Stand,' in which he would play a bordertown sheriff who teams with his inexperienced staff to hunt down a Mexico-bound cartel leader.
The film is being directed by Jee-woon Kim ('The Good, The Bad, The Weird'), and is tentatively set to begin shooting in late August. Sources tell the Hollywood Reporter that negotiations are moving along, though the deal could still fall apart over money.
If cast, 'The Last Stand' would mark Schwarzenegger's first official movie role since leaving his post as Governor of California in January. As one might expect, he's been fielding a number of offers, including "sequels and remakes to 'Predator' and 'Marathon Man,'" according to the report.
Schwarzenegger's last movie role was a brief cameo in the 2010 action blockbuster 'The Expendables.' Watch the NSFW clip here.
