Don’t You Just Hate When a Beam Smashes Into Your Windshield?

This accident certainly put the "beam" in "Beamer."

Yes, that's a beam that's impaled the windshield of a BMW. And you thought your commute was rough.

How exactly did this happen? The BMW was traveling along the highway in San Jose, Calif., last week when the beam fell off a truck and smashed into the Beamer's windshield.

Amazingly, the driver of the BMW only had a minor scratch, which is certainly more than he can say about the car.

A spokesman for the fire department said the BMW may not have been in the right place at the right time, but the driver's body certainly was. "Had the person been a little more to the right, it would have impaled him. It looks like he not so much dodged a bullet, but dodged a large beam of metal."

Hmm, dodge? BMW? Maybe he ought to consider getting a Chevy.
