Cell Phone Scam – Don’t Call Back Unknown Phone Numbers

Yay - here's another reason not to answer my phone.

If you get a call from an unknown number and it only rings once, it may be a new cell phone scam. So don't call back unknown numbers. Apparently it's a scam out of the Caribbean, and if you call back they'll charge you about $29 on your phone bill. So they are kind of like Pirates of the Caribbean except not entertaining at all.

I don't know how it works or how they end up getting any money out of it, but the Better Business Bureau is working on this, so it has some credibility...plus it is just another excuse to ignore your phone calls.
