Events To Kick-Off The Christmas Season In Wichita Falls-Mark Your Calendars!

Trans-Siberian Orchestra is scheduled to play in Wichita Falls on Sunday, Nov. 13th at Kay Yeager Coliseum. What a wonderful kick off to the Christmas Season!

The Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra will be Nov. 12th. It will be featuring Lucille Chung on piano. The Concert begins at 8pm at Memorial Auditorium. 

Christmas Magic Auction Gala will be on Nov. 12th at the Wichita Falls Country Club.

It will be a fun evening of food, fun. This year's Christmas Magic Auction Gala is raising the stakes raising money for the Junior League of Wichita Falls Community Plan...all new this year, Vegas-style gaming tables to add to the fun!

Plus, a spectacular lineup of Live & Silent Auction items and live music so you can dance the night away!  

The City Lights Festival will be held downtown Nov. 17th. There will be a City Lights 5 k at 4pm before the parade kicks off. with the City Lights Downtown Festival. So come walk/run and then visit with Santa and watch a Christmas theme parade.

Open Ice skating will take place at the MPEC on Nov. 20th from 3-5pm and Dec. 4th from 3-5pm. For more information visit www.wfmpec.com

Every year at the Riverbend Nature Center ElectriCritters takes place. This year it will be fro 6:30-8:30pm every Friday and Saturday from Nov. 25th-Dec. 17th and Thursday Dec. 22nd and Friday Dec. 23rd.

There will be over 150 Christmas displays. Tickets are $4 in advance $5 at the gate and kids two and under get in for free.

You also get to enjoy roasting marshmallows to make s'mores, hot cider and cocoa, plus  a visit from Santa and Rudolph!  

A wonderful Christmas play called Winter Wonderettes will be playing weekends Nov.25th to Dec.10th at the Backdoor Theatre.

*Play Summary: "The Wonderettes are entertaining at the 1968 Holiday Party for Harper’s Hardware. Mr. Harper is scheduled to appear as Santa Claus, when he will pass out bonus envelopes. Betty Jean can’t find Santa, but returns with the bonus envelopes instead, but are they bonuses?? Fun and cheer ensue as a “new Santa” emerges with a new Santa’s bag. All ends happily & merrily!"

The Santa House at the Kell House Museum will be from Nov.29th-Dec.9th. Festivities include a Christmas story, visit with Santa, eat a cookie with Mrs. Claus and decorate an ornamnt to take home.

Monday-Thursday 9am-12:30pm, Fridays 6pm-8pm, Saturdays 10am-3pm and Sundays 1pm-3pm. 

The Midwestern State University Burns Fantasy of Lights is a yearly tradition for Wichita Falls. This year the lights will be up and ready from Dec. 2nd to the 31st. The lights are turned on at dusk each evening until 10pm weekdays and 11pm weekends.

The lovely ballet performance, the Nutcracker,  will be presented by the Wichita Falls Ballet Theatre at Memorial Auditorium, will be Friday Dec. 2nd at 8pm
