After 10 years of trying, the Farrelly brothers have finally wrapped up filming on their pet project, "The Three Stooges".  With their calendars opening up in the near future, talk is that Peter and Bobby Farrelly will revisit one of their original films with a sequel to the 1994 hit comedy "Dumb and Dumber".  Written by "Sex Drive" writers Sean Anders and John Morris, the film will hopefully be the next directing job for the Farrelly brothers as soon as post-production is completed on "The Three Stooges".

Apart from bringing back the Farrelly brothers, there is hope to also bring back Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels to their roles as Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne respectively.  Though Carrey's last attempt at a sequel, "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls", was not as successful as the original, Carrey dropped hints about a sequel while promoting "Mr. Popper's Penguins".

The original film was made for $16 million, but went on to gross $250 million.  However, the series hit a roadblock with the failure of the prequel, "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd".  With "The Three Stooges" hitting theaters in April 2012, official word of the next "Dumb and Dumber" is hoped within the next few months.
