SAG stands for Safety and Gear. These are the folks that if a rider breaks down somewhere on their journey. They can go and pick them up. They have a truck and or trailer they use to haul people's bikes and also the rider themselves to the next rest area so they can get some help. These SAG volunteers should have a pickup truck they can use for that day. Let's face it, it's Texas, a lot of pickup trucks are on the road. So if you're interested in being a SAG volunteer, you can sign up here.
