It seems our tornado season is late this year. We usually have this type of severe weather in March and April.

What Should You Do if There Is a Tornado Warning in Your Area?

The National Weather Service says to take these actions:

At Your House: take shelter in your basement, safe room, or an interior room away from windows. Don't forget your pets!

Outside: Find shelter inside a sturdy building. Sheds and storage buildings and mobile homes are not strong enough to withstand high winds.

In a Vehicle: It's best to find shelter. If you are stuck in your car and can't find shelter, get down in your car and cover your head. Better yet get out of your car and find a ditch or ravine.
