If you have kids, you know how important it is to keep them entertained when you go on vacation.

In my opinion, it’s more important than ever to keep the kids engaged, otherwise, they’ll go straight to their electronic devices for entertainment. The way I see it, a true vacation is one in which you get away from everything you do on a daily basis. So yeah, maybe put the phone down for a bit.

Anyway, I’ll get down from my soap box and get to the results of a recent study conducted by TravelPulse.

The site’s researchers took on the task of crunching data to determine the most family-friendly city in each state and found San Antonio to be the most family-friendly in the Lone Star State.

I honestly thought it would be Arlington, based on Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor being there. Then again, Six Flags Fiesta Texas is in San Antonio, so there’s that.

But there’s a lot more to San Antonio than just Six Flags.

For history buffs like me, you have to visit the Alamo while in San Antonio. It doesn’t get any better than the Alamo for Texas history enthusiasts.

There’s also the River Walk, which is about as family-friendly as it gets. You can take the kids on a boat tour or just relax and enjoy a good meal (my personal favorite family-friendly event).
